Congratulations to two of our longtime board members, Gopi Panchapakesan and Dhruv Sharma, for their recent professional accomplishments.
Gopi Panchapakesan was just elevated to Principal at Bird Marella, effective January 1, 2020. Gopi is a Harvard Law graduate, the incoming Co-President for SABA-SC, a Fellow of NAPABA’s Leadership Advancement Program, and was selected to the Southern California Rising Stars List three years in a row. Gopi has successfully represented publicly-traded and privately-held companies alike in high-stakes matters. He has experience representing clients involved in a wide variety of industries, including apparel, consumer products, multi-level marketing, pharmaceutical, real estate, and technology. Dhruv Sharma, SABA-SC’s Orange County Events Director, was promoted to Member (Partner) at McGlinchey Stafford effective 2020. In addition to maintaining a complex commercial litigation practice for McGlinchey Stafford at their Irvine office, Dhruv is a Board Member of the OCBA Banking & Lending Section and an Adjunct Professor at Chapman University’s Fowler School of Law. Dhruv primarily represents banking and other financial institutions in consumer financial services litigation in state and federal court. See here for a press release from McGlinchey Stafford.
