In light of the rapidly evolving health and safety concerns surrounding COVID-19, as well as recent recommendations from Governor Gavin Newsom and other government advisories, the SABA-SC and SABA-SC Public Interest Foundation boards have decided to postpone our two upcoming events:
- The Gender & Diversity Panel hosted by Baker & Hostetler, originally set for March 17; and
- Our Annual Banquet, originally scheduled for May 13.
Gender & Diversity Panel – Please do plan to join our six accomplished panelists from across the legal profession for dinner and a lively discussion on navigating career development and self-advocacy at the Century City offices of Baker Hostetler once the new date for the event has been determined.
Annual Banquet – We are tentatively looking at September or October 2020 for our Annual Banquet. We are working with our venue to determine a new date, and we are also monitoring ongoing recommendations as the situation evolves. We hope our guests and sponsors will continue their support of our Annual Banquet on the new date. Please see below for the exciting announcement of this year’s Banquet Awardees, though. We are honored to be able to present our Trailblazer, Judicial Appreciation & Public Interest Awards to such incredible people.
These are challenging times, but we will face and overcome them together. SABA-SC thanks you for your understanding and support.
