Two students at UCI School of Law seek participants in a survey in connection with their paper for a Problem Solving course. The paper analyzes the unreliability of the umbrella categorization of “Asian American” within AmLaw 200 firms as a measure of diversity with respect to Asian American ethnic groups. Existing statistics do not accurately reflect the diversity within the practice, particularly because these statistics do not account for the disparity among different Asian American sub-populations.
